Low-fi Workshop:

Sci-fi Charade

2017

Taiwan, NTU & NTUST

There are two workshops, one is held in NTU (Taiwan university) for engineers (the beginner of the master year); another is held in 'OpenHCI' for interdisplinary participants from design and engineering.

The goal is enabling participants

to learn the low-fi prototyping from everyday materials,

and only materializing the key concept to demo 'sci-fi' idea in your head.

Quick & Dirty

See lowcost cosplay

When it comes to the 'prototyping',

many engineerings stuck with finished working demo.

On the other hands, many engineerings

only use '3D printer', 'laser cut' to make everything.

However, materials and the way you make both can affect your thinking.

Prototyping is not just 3D print or laser cut!
